Graduate Catalog 2022-2023

Election Administration Graduate Certificate (Online)

Georgia College’s graduate Election Administration Certificate program will prepare students to facilitate democracy through critical analysis and public service in election administration. Students will learn to lead, manage, and formulate policies within the election administrative environment.

Admission Requirements:
Students must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a college accredited by the proper regional accrediting association and have graduated from their college with at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Applicants must complete a formal GCSU Graduate application with fees, official transcripts of all academic work, current resume, and statement of professional goals.

Academic Dismissal Policy:
It is very important for graduate students to be aware of the need and requirements for good academic standing. A graduate student will be placed on graduate academic probation if the student's institutional graduate grade point average falls below a 3.00 at any point during his or her graduate studies. Students must have a grade point average of 3.00 to graduate. Failing a course will also cause one to be dismissed. The academic policy section should be consulted for more detailed information about the academic grade point average and the academic standing policy.

Online Course Fees:
All online programs are programs in which 95% or more of the program’s class contact time is through an online delivery method, and may be associated with differential tuition rates.

Program of Study:
The program requires 12 credit hours. Election Administration Certificate courses can be taken independently of the Master of Public Administration, or can be applied to the MPA degree program as electives that will provide curricular focus in nonprofit management.
