Part one of numbers and operations, algebra, functions and graphs, geometry, measurement, probability, statistics, and discrete mathematics concept development. Strategies of problem solving will be used and discussed in the context of various topics.

Prerequisite: Permission of the instructor. Topics include pre-algebra concepts, linear and quadratic equations, inequalities, applications of algebra to real-life situations.

Prerequisite: Approval of the instructor. Selected topics in mathematics education not available in other departmental courses.
