PHYS 3200 Thermodynamics

Prerequisites: PHYS 2212 and MATH 2263 and CHEM 1211L. This course covers concepts of temperature, entropy, and other characteristic thermodynamic functions, with application to macroscopic properties of matter. The laws of thermodynamics. Introduction to statistical mechanics, incluing quantum statistics. Offered only in the fall.
