Prerequisite: EDIT 5202. This course will concentrate on the various forms of multimedia that can be utilized within the K-12 classroom. From digital video to web design, from blogs to flash animation, there are many different ways that media can supplement traditional instruction in the classroom. This hands-on course will provide students with not only skills, but theories behind the practical application of technology within the classroom. Students will need to have a solid understanding of basic technology skills before taking this course.

Due to the ever-changing world of technology, new developments occur almost daily and it is important to have a flexible course to offer specialized instruction in the areas of technology and library media.

Requires a graduate degree in Instructional Technology or similar areas (e.g., Educational Technologh, Learning Science, Educational Media, Instructional Design, etc.)This bridge course is for students who previously completed IT degrees from any university before and would like to earn a S-5 certification in Instructional Technology from the state of Georgia to work in K-12 schools. This course will ensure that the students meet all state TPACK standards before they become certified by the PSC.
