Degree Requirements
Core IMPACTS Requirements
Satisfactorily complete each of the Core IMPACTS general education requirements, as listed in the Core IMPACTS section of this catalog.
Field of Study Requirements
Satisfactorily complete each of the following courses, which serve as prerequisites or preparatory work for your major classes. Some courses may also be used to fulfill Core IMPACTS requirements. Students who use these courses to fulfill both requirements will have more hours of general electives. A grade of C or better must be earned in each of these courses.

Satisfactorily complete one of the following courses with a grade of C or higher. CBIS 4215 is the preferred course for Management Information Systems majors.

Optional Concentrations
Courses used to fulfill major requirements may also be used toward concentration requirements, if listed among the approved courses below.
Federal financial aid will not pay for an optional concentration course unless that course is also necessary to complete the 120 hours required for a degree or the 39 hours of required upper-level credit. Contact Financial Aid if you have questions about your federal aid eligibility.

Students are strongly encouraged to complete an MIS internship as an elective.
Additional Degree Requirements
Satisfactorily complete all graduation requirements listed in the academic policies section of this catalog.
Earn a grade of C or higher in all major courses, all Area F courses, and all Common Business Knowledge courses. Common Business Knowledge courses are ACCT 2101, ACCT 2102, BCOM 2285, BUAD 2172, CBIS 2220, ECON 2105, ECON 2106, FINC 3131, LENB 3135, MGMT 3101, MGMT 3141, MGMT 3165, MGMT 4195, and MKTG 3161, and the course taken to fulfill the international business requirement.
The senior exit requirement for management information systems major is the Major Field Test completed during MGMT 4195. Students are also required to complete a College of Business & Technology exit survey.
