MGMT 4135 Principles of Quality Mgmt

Prerequisites: minimum of junior standing or instructor permission. This course provides an overview of the principles and practices inherent in Total Quality Management, Six Sigma problem solving, and Lean Manufacturing. Research papers will emphasize case studies of companies and organizations that claim to have implemented managerial styles or reengineering efforts resulting in improved productivity. The course will focus on the quality and productivity gains achieved through genuine managerial improvements and problem-solving. This course is non-repeatable for credit.
